William J. Feid

Professional Career

Mr. Feid has a broad reaching background in founding and developing entrepreneurial ventures on a global scale. Functioning as the key partner in the founding of Pacific Rim Partners, LLC in January 2005, Mr. Feid provided the formation capital, recruited key members of the team and secured a majority of its portfolio clients. In April 2008, Pacific Rim Partners, LLC was reorganized and rebranded as Actium Ventures, LLC. Actium, like its predecessor, focuses on investing in rapidly growing entrepreneurial enterprises with global strategies and concentration on Asian markets. Actium’s portfolio companies are able to draw upon his extensive experience in transactional negotiations, investing and portfolio ventures.

Most recently, Mr. Feid was President and Chief Executive Officer of RealLegal, LLC, a leading supplier of software to the legal community; Mr. Feid has been at the forefront of innovative business for the past 25 years. Mr. Feid is also founder and former President and Chief Executive Officer of Law.com, the largest destination website for the legal community in the world. In addition, Mr. Feid engineered the sale of Law.com to American Lawyer Media, the largest legal publisher in the United States.

Mr. Feid began his career at Arthur Andersen & Co., where he helped found and grow Andersen’s Chicago High-Tech Practice. His 11 years at Andersen were dedicated primarily to consulting on behalf of entrepreneurial businesses. Mr. Feid was also instrumental in developing firm-wide methodologies for business valuations and strategic planning. He also functioned on behalf of a World Headquarters firm wide heading assignments in Malaysia and Europe.

Mr. Feid later joined Efficient Market Services, Inc., a leading information service provider for supermarkets and consumer packaged goods, as the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of finance and operations. At EMS, he established strategic relationships with AC Nielsen and Mitsubishi Corporation, introduced EMS into South East Asia, and raised substantial equity capital, all of which led to the company’s success. Mr. Feid left EMS to found another start-up, Firefly Greeting, LLC. As President and Chief Executive Officer, he turned Firefly into a leading supplier of online relationship management programs utilizing greeting cards and negotiated the sale of the business to Hallmark.

Education and Affiliations

Mr. Feid is a CPA with a BS in Accounting and Industrial Technologies from Illinois State University and currently serves on the Board of Directors of five companies.
